Our Environment, Health, Safety + Sustainability programs are designed to minimize workplace illness and injury and ensure colleagues feel safe, healthy and fulfilled to perform well at work each day. Strong health and safety practices also support business continuity and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

We do not tolerate acts or threats of physical violence, intimidation, coercion, stalking or any form of harassment during on or off-duty periods. This includes threats by colleagues, customers, vendors, solicitors or other members of the public. All threats or acts of violence should be reported as soon as possible.

Avoiding Conflicts of Interest

We are expected to avoid conflicts of interest with Bausch + Lomb’s corporate interests. A conflict of interest exists when your personal interest, relationship or activity interferes with your ability to perform your job objectively or as expected. Even the appearance of a conflict of interest should be avoided because it may damage our reputation.

Our commitment is to disclose and effectively manage existing, perceived and potential conflicts of interest to maintain trust and confidence with all our stakeholders.

Potential conflicts of interest include:

  • Engaging in an outside activity, including outside employment, with an individual or company that currently has, or plans to have, a competitive or business relationship with Bausch + Lomb.
  • Establishing a financial relationship with a Bausch + Lomb supplier, distributor, customer or competitor.
  • Having a family member or close personal relationship working for a Bausch + Lomb supplier, customer or competitor.
  • Receiving a gift from a supplier, distributor, customer or someone who is seeking to work with Bausch + Lomb.
  • Serving as a director or officer of a company, including a non-profit organization in the health care industry.
  • Having substantial ownership interest by a colleague or any member of the colleague’s family of a company that does business with Bausch + Lomb.
  • Using corporate property or business information for personal gain.

Our Expectations

  • We actively avoid conflicts of interests, whether real or perceived.
  • We protect Bausch + Lomb’s assets and reputation from questions of integrity.
  • We raise situations of potential conflicts of interest with our manager and the Ethics and Compliance Department.
